"A long time ago…

in a suburb of Cleveland, far, far away,” is how the campy opening of this sequel begins. We pick up the story where we left off, with our protagonist making some pretty serious decisions to radically alter his own life, while hopefully leaving in tact (or even more hopefully, improving) the lot of those around him. Isn’t it said that good intentions never turn out that way?

In recent years and months there have been two real problems in my world. The first is really none of anybody’s business. It involves someone I care about going through a rough time. It’s very stressful for me, but it is a situation where I’m essentially helpless.

The second problem I’m also leaves me helpless – my dad is quite sick. He’s almost 50 years older than me, and his age has caught up with him. The only real comfort there is that he’s got family with him and really good medical care. He lives about 300 miles from me, so I’ve been driving out every few weeks to visit. That’s taxing on its own because I depend on the weekends to get stuff done, and I’ve had trouble staying caught up.

You want more? Isn’t that enough? You people are blood-thristy. Next update I’ll focus on happy stuff. In the meantime I’m putting up a ‘random stuff’ album in the photo gallery. You can look at the cats and say ‘aww, they’re cute.’
