Count yourself lucky.<\/p>\n<p>I cast my vote for Kerry today, along with a flurry of other other people and issues.  After Kerry first came a big no to issue one, which was an amendment to Ohio&#8217;s constitution attempting to ban gay marriage.  It is very vaguely worded and possibly not constitutional and, I think, unlikely to stand a court challenge.  However, it makes this state look like a bunch of backwards hillbillies to be out writing discrimination into the state constitution.  The other issues had to do with parks and taxing businesses &#8211; two issues I&#8217;m always in favor of, even if it costs me a few bucks.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My recent period of inactivity here has me wanting to make up for it with a flurry of posts.
